Top crops: Every year we love adding new things, so picking a few is hard! If I could only grow five crops, they'd be snapdragons, celosia, sunflowers, ranunculus, and eucalyptus.
A proud farm moment: There have been so many "big" milestones over the past few years, but one that stands out was the first time I approached a local business about selling our bouquets and they excitedly said yes! It was so validating and has been one of my favorite business relationships!
On a less serious note, I'm always proud when I'm walking through the field with my little kids and they can name the varieties properly. There's nothing so cute (or surprising) as a
two-year-old pointing out a photo of eucalyptus and lisianthus in their picture books! It's just a confirmation that they are learning from everything we do!
Something exciting happening in 2024: 2024 is shaping up to be an exciting year. In addition to branching into wholesale through the Collective, we have new things going on at the farm. One thing we are super excited about is trialing a bunch of spring flowers. On our list are sweet peas, poppies, and Bells of Ireland, tulips, and narcissus. This will also be our first year growing the ranunculus in a tunnel, which is sort of a trial as well. Overall, we can't wait to have fresh flowers even earlier in the season! We are also looking forward to some over-wintering experiments to see if we can bump up bloom time on some of our summer annuals.
